Marketing, Content and Studio Intern

About us

PAST TENSE is a Stockholm-based contemporary premium menswear label. We have grown as a wholesale-first brand, and we are now opening our first physical space, a studio on Birkagatan that works as workspace, showroom and store.

The role

This is the role that helps shape the next phase of the brand. You sit across three areas that are usually split between three people: marketing, content and the studio store. That means you see the whole loop, from the idea for a shoot, to the post, to the customer who walks through the door because of it.

You work directly with the founders. You will not be resizing banners all day. You own real work, you publish it, and you see the numbers it moves.

Marketing

• Plan and run the monthly content and campaign calendar across Instagram, newsletter and the site
• Write and build newsletters, then track opens, clicks and conversions
• Support product launches end to end: teaser, copy, assets, timing, sell through
• Coordinate with photographers, stylists, models and local partners
• Report on what worked using Shopify, Meta and Klaviyo data

Content generation

• Shoot and edit day-to-day content in the studio: product, detail, process, fittings, behind the scenes
• Cut vertical video for Reels and TikTok, and keep a usable library of raw footage
• Write product copy, captions and short-form brand stories in the PAST TENSE voice
• Build lookbook, line sheet and campaign assets alongside the founder
• Help develop a repeatable content system, so the studio produces work weekly rather than only at campaign moments

Studio store management

• Open, run and close the studio on set days, and take care of how the space looks and feels
• Serve customers, advise on fit and product, handle appointments and private fittings
• Manage stock in the space: receiving, steaming, replenishment, counts, returns
• Run the point of sale and keep in-store and online inventory aligned
• Plan and host small events: launches, pop-ups, workshops, collaborations
• Feed back what you hear on the floor, because it is the fastest product research we have

Who we are looking for

• Currently studying fashion business, marketing, communication, media production or similar, and looking for a placement period as part of your programme
• Comfortable with a camera and an editing app. Taste and consistency matter more to us than equipment
• Writes clearly in English. Swedish is a strong plus for the store and for local partnerships
• Organised and self-directed. In a team this small, nobody will chase you for a deadline
• Real interest in menswear, design and how a brand gets built. You should have opinions about it
• Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and Shopify is helpful, not required. We can teach the tools

Practical details

• Duration: 6 months, ideally starting asap
• Location: our studio on Birkagatan, Stockholm. On-site, because the store and the products are here
• Hours: full time, weekdays.
• Compensation: this is an unpaid placement intended for students completing an internship, LIA or praktik period as a credited part of a study programme, with the school as formal supervisor. It is not a substitute for employment.
